Bill Robinson was the link to the past glory of automobile styling early in my student years. I recall meeting him at CCS in the late 70’s in the shop as I was making my first clay model. He was direct, insightful, and provided comments about graceful form.

Bill provided support for all of us looking to gain a foothold in the world of design as the profession emerged. Few men had the universal respect of everyone they encountered like Bill. Bill Robinson’s legacy is broad and multi-generational. Great man, great talent. A life well lived. I’m honored to have known him.

About Brian: Brian has spent 40 years in the design and education community following his time with Bill at CCS. He was a designer at GM for 25 years before shifting to the automotive museum community through the Automotive Hall of Fame. Brian is currently a director at the National Corvette Museum.
